Our Artisans from Uganda
Ssebunya Annet
My name is Ssebunya Annet, I am 41 years old, and I live in Kinaawa-Kyengera. I am a single mother of five beautiful girls. Just when I was losing hope, a kind woman in my community told me about the Tailoring Program at Aitenga Women Empowerment Organisation. Today, I am proud to say that I am a fashion designer earning a living through tailoring, and my family is now financially stable.

Nakazibwe Zaina
My name is Nakazibwe Zaina, I am 37 years old, and I live in Mugongo-Kyengera. I am a single mother of five children. After my husband later passed away, I struggled to pay my children’s school fees and provide food for them. At Aitenga, I not only acquired tailoring skills, but I also learned financial literacy. Today, I am a professional tailor. Through the skills and knowledge I gained from Aitenga, I am now able to provide meals for my children and keep them in school.
